Reaching Out to Many

The ‘VISION 20/20’ Campaign looks to support two important activities:

  • Side-by-Side
    • Small-scale, recreational, weekly program for people with dementia
    • Consists of activities designed to provide mental and physical stimulation and meaningful social interaction
    • Each participant (person with dementia) is paired one-to-one for the day with a volunteer who offers caring companionship and help
    • Runs Thursdays from 9:45am to 2:15pm, making available 4.5 hours of respite time for caregivers (typically spouses or family members)
  • Presbyterians Sharing 
    • Encourages and equips congregational renewal and development
    • Supports inner city, native, refugee and remote ministries in Canada
    • Sends mission personnel to work with international partners

Campaign Goals

The ‘VISION 20/20’ campaign has two goals:

  • Side-By-Side - Two Years of Funding: $20,000
    • Directed Giving through Campaign: $10,000 
    • Matched from Special Initiative Fund: $10,0002020
  • Presbyterians Sharing Allocation: $35,553
    • Directed Giving through Campaign: $45,553
    • Matched from Special Initiative Fund: $10,000

So Get Ready to Turn Vision… into Action!

The ‘VISION 20/20’ campaign will run for five weeks 

  • Campaign Launch - January 19th 
  • Campaign Close -  February 16th
  • The big reveal of the final campaign results will be made at the Annual Meeting on March 1st

Using Pledges for Planning Purposes

  • Again, pledges can be received during the campaign
  • People can fulfil their pledge over the year as their financial situations allows
