Ana Victoria Piñero (also known as Anavi) is a Venezuelan-born artist, educator, and animator based in Calgary on Mohkinstsis. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Graphic Design and brings over seven years of experience teaching art, animation, and creative storytelling to children, youth, and adults.
Ana Victoria has spent the past four years teaching through organizations such as QuickDraw Animation Society, where she has led Portable Animation Workshops across Calgary’s public libraries and schools. She has also taught through AUArts Continuing Education and currently teaches at Raw Canvas. Her work is deeply rooted in creating inclusive, supportive learning environments, including mentoring students with special needs as they pursue post-secondary education in the arts.
Driven by a passion for faith, creativity, and community, Ana Victoria is excited to serve as the Faith Educational Coordinator at Varsity Presbyterian Church. As a Varsity resident, she feels deeply connected to the neighborhood and is committed to nurturing creative, faith-rooted learning experiences for people of all ages. Ana believes storytelling and art can be powerful tools for spiritual growth, relationship-building, and community care.
